A few years ago I had the opportunity of seeing a little bit of PNG - a fantastic and exciting country. More than 700 different languages are spoken here by some 800 different tribes of people many of which have lived isolated from each other, so that old cultures and traditions live on together with the more modern ones.
After many years of war Cambodia is now moving forward with giant steps. Most of the landmines have been cleared and it is now safe to travel again - at least along the beaten tracks. Angkor Wat alone, with all the fantastic Khmer temples is worth a trip of it´s own.
